SMS Privacy Policy

1. Scope & Applicability

This SMS Privacy Policy applies specifically to the customer service text messaging program provided by Requiem Arms LLC (“Requiem Arms,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This program is strictly for customer-initiated support and service inquiries; we do not use this channel for advertising, marketing, or promotional campaigns.

This policy supplements our general Privacy Policy and describes how we collect, use, and share personal information when you communicate with us via text message (SMS/MMS).

California Residents: Please review Section 8 regarding your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).


2. Personal Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information when you use our texting service:

Identifiers: Your mobile telephone number and name (if provided).

Customer Records: The content of the messages you send us (e.g., questions about products, order status, or support issues) and any media/images you share.

Internet/Electronic Network Activity: Message timestamps, delivery status, and technical metadata provided by the mobile carrier or our communications provider.

Sensitive Personal Information: Please do not send sensitive personal information (e.g., government ID numbers, account credentials, health information) by text. If you send it anyway, it may be collected as part of the message content.


3. Sources of Information

Directly from You: When you initiate a text conversation or request a callback via text.

Automatically: From our communications infrastructure (Spectrum Business Connect powered by RingCentral) which logs message traffic for delivery and compliance purposes.


4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

– Respond to your specific inquiries and provide customer support

– Coordinate services, pickups, or appointments you request

– Maintain the security and integrity of our communications

– Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse

Note: We do not use your mobile number for marketing, advertising, or automated promotional drip campaigns.


5. Disclosure to Third Parties / Service Providers

We do not sell your mobile phone number or message content. We share information only with service providers who assist in message delivery and compliance:

Communications Providers: We use Spectrum Business Connect (utilizing the RingCentral platform) to facilitate our text messaging capabilities. Message logs and content are processed by Spectrum and RingCentral systems to ensure delivery and compliance with carrier regulations.

Legal & Safety: We may disclose information if required by law (e.g., subpoena), to protect our rights, or to ensure the safety of our business and customers.


6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes outlined above or as required by law:

Message Content & Logs: Retained for 12 months to reference past support history and ensure service quality.

Consent/Opt-in Records: Retained for 4 years from the date of your last interaction to demonstrate compliance with telecommunications regulations.

Rights Requests: Records of CCPA consumer rights requests are retained for at least 24 months as required by California regulation.


7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, please be aware that text messages traverse public carrier networks (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) which are not fully encrypted. We advise against sending sensitive payment details (credit card numbers) or highly sensitive personal data via text.


8. California Consumer Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you over the past 12 months.

Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.

Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share your mobile data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Verification: To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity by confirming possession of the mobile number associated with the request or matching identifiers to our existing records.

Authorized Agents: You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We may require proof of the agent’s authorization and may also require you to verify your identity directly with us.

Timing: We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. If we require more time (up to 90 days total), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.


9. SMS-Specific Consumer Controls

Stop Texting: You may opt out of receiving text messages from us at any time by replying with the word STOP. We will send one final confirmation message, and then no further messages will be sent to your number.

Get Help: Reply HELP for instructions or contact information.


10. Children and Eligibility

Our services are intended for adults legally eligible to conduct business with Requiem Arms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. Because Requiem Arms operates in a regulated product category, customer service communications are intended for legally eligible adults only.


11. Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
